Vera Ranguelova accepts select commission work for private collectors and public spaces. Specializing in encaustic landscapes and large abstract paintings, commissions can be created on-site or in her studio in Iowa City. Each piece is a collaboration, tailored to your space and vision.

Commission Process

1. Inquiry & Vision

Share your ideas: subject, palette, size, and setting. Reference images or examples of my previous work are welcome. We’ll discuss whether the piece is best created in my studio or on-site.

2. Proposal & Agreement

I’ll provide a written proposal with scope, timeline, and pricing. A 50% deposit secures your commission, with the balance due upon completion.

3. Concept Review

You’ll receive a preliminary sketch or concept mock-up. This is the time to refine details and ensure the vision aligns before I begin the encaustic process.

4. Creation

I layer and fuse wax, pigment, and heat to bring your piece to life. For large commissions, you’ll receive periodic updates and progress photos.

5. Completion & Delivery

Once approved, the final balance is due. Your painting is carefully finished and prepared for delivery, shipping, or installation.

6. Care & Aftercare

You’ll receive simple guidelines on caring for encaustic art, and I remain available for questions or support after installation.
