In my artistic exploration, I endeavor to capture the essence of Iowa beyond its portrayal as merely a flyover state. This is not Iowa hastily glanced at from the window of a connecting flight; rather, it is a tapestry of intricate details, a “beautiful Land” teeming with its peculiarities, passions, and dreams.

Iowa’s allure lies not only in its modern edifices, standing as beacons of knowledge and progress, but also in the weathered facade of an old barn, echoing generations past. It is in this duality that the true character of Iowa reveals itself — a juxtaposition of the contemporary and the rustic, the urban and the rural, the familiar and the enigmatic.
